Engineering research post Hurricane Ivan has inspired many preventative innovations.

A total of 288 – 18” diameter concrete pilings have been cast to a depth of 96+ feet.*

Pile caps have been lowered to sea level to prevent storm surge scour.

Ground floor parking and entrance have been raised to 17+ feet above sea level.*

Lowest habitable floor has been raised 26+ feet above sea level.*

Pools and decks have been raised to 16 feet above sea level.

* The elevations given above are believed to be the highest on Perdido Key and the deep foundations the deepest and most intensive design.
